Killing In A Gay Bar

September 17, 2009 at 12:09 pm (a little something for my homos, podcasting, style and culture, the internet blows my fucking MIND) (, , , , , , , , , )

I usually don’t like mashups. I find them a little too dense. (as implied by the name of the genre itself) I’m making an exception for this one. Killing In A Gay Bar, by English Pete is a cute mashup of two great songs that made me EL OH EL.

Is it homophobic? Eh. I don’t think so. The original Gay Bar song talks about starting a nuclear war in a gay bar and no one seems to mind that one. I think it refers more to blowing everyone’s mind with your fabulous dance moves!

PDXSucks Eats From the Tree of Pod-Death?

July 7, 2009 at 6:48 pm (PDX, Portland, news, podcasting, the internet blows my fucking MIND, twitter) (, , , , , , , , , )

Instead of a show episode, listeners of local podcast PDXSucks were treated with the following image this morning, on a blog post entitled, “Silence.”

silenced

The post offers no further information. The date in the bottom left corner looms thick with finality, though, doesn’t it? I tried to reach Robert Wagner via twitter dm, but he’s said nothing as of yet. Is it just a prank. Did the patrons pull the plug on PDXSucks? Wha’s goin’ on? Throw us a goddamn bone here.

Some controversy occured recently around PDXSucks, bleeding over onto Oregon Media Central, initially incited by Wagner’s comments about Matt Davis and this post. However, I find it difficult to believe that a flame war, even one so intense as that, would spell the end for this show.

Strange Love Live Holiday Song Special

December 1, 2008 at 2:14 am (my interesting life, style and culture) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , )

The episode of Strange Love Live, on which I was guest last Friday, is now up on the blog and iTunes for your listening pleasure. I had a great time hanging out with Cami Kaos and Dr. Normal. Also, I was honored to be a guest on their first anniversary show. I got to drink hot, buttered rum, decorate a “YULE” tree, and talk about all kinds of neat stuff.

You can view the ustream recording here.

and go to the SLL blog here.

Oh. And one more thing. I would like to just point out a small error on the blog post:

“With all the formalities out of the way, we kicked back with guest and fellow Portland Podcaster Will Radik.   We had some rum, we decorated a tree and he and I wore a skimpy Santa shirt. “

Although the Kaoses very generously put out a santa hat for me to wear, I did not, in fact get to wear the skimpy Santa shirt at any point before, during the show, or afterwards.

Strange Love Live This Week. Oh noes!

November 24, 2008 at 9:33 pm (podcasting) (, , , , , , , , , , , , )

I’m scheduled to be a guest this week on Strange Love Live (Friday at 10pm) with @camikaos and @docnormal I think this is pretty much how it’s gonna go down:

I also assume that there will be a studio audience. @verso has already threatened to throw panties at me, and or throttle me due to my (mostly ironic) declaration of solidarity with Kevin Costner. Cami pacified her by telling her I was a knitting freak like her, but I had to be honest and shatter this benevolent lie.

So. Enjoy the blog while it lasts. I don’t expect to survive ’til Saturday morning.

November 19, 2008 at 2:43 am (my interesting life, style and culture) (, , , , )

After a five month haitus, erraticast is now back with Episode 37: Sexuality and Stuff. Let the mind-numbing drivel begin! You can see why I’m not a salesman. : >

There is a new RSS feed. I’ve given up on libsyn (mostly cause I’m being cheap, they’re good hosts) and I’m using Archive.org, WordPress, and Feedburner to get my shows out. Here’s the feed, in case you’d like to subscribe:

This Cocoa Tea has Kick to It!

May 9, 2008 at 11:15 pm (a little something for my homos, twitter) (, , , , , , , , , )

Some of the pinnacle members of the gay podcast community got into a heated political debate on twitter today. Not that it matters that they’re gay, I just enjoy writing “pinnacle members of the gay podcast community.”

Meanwhile, some people, like tomh, were still using twitter as God intended.
